Due to works related to the Rail Motorway that Adif is promoting between Zaragoza and Algeciras (modification of gauges, superstructures, tunnels, and catenary adjustments) that will allow trains with semi-trailers up to 4.20 metres in maximum height, the line between Guadalajara and Santa María de Huerta will be completely closed for 8.5 months, specifically between April 1st and December 15th (2025). Adif has planned re-routings, so freight transport along the Med RFC is affected as little as possible.
