Train traffic is temporarily suspended, approximately up to 31 January 2025 on the Szentgál–Városlőd-Kislőd section of (Székesfehérvár–Szombathely railway line) Budapest – Székesfehárvár – Boba – Hodoš MED RFC connection, as the latest geotechnical investigations have shown that the presence of groundwater and strata water below the surface of the track section has led to faster-than-expected deterioration, making it inevitable to stop rail traffic earlier than originally planned. The cause of the technical problem was previously identified by experts, so fortunately the necessary preparations for the renovation began before the current forced rescheduling. The freight trains are re-routed.
The necessary professional plans and resources are available, so the construction will start in January 2025
