Safety inspectors and environmental protection representatives have established the rules to be followed during recovery operations to guarantee the safety of the workers and to assure proper removal of the contaminated soil. The new findings together with the competent authorities’ decisions are slowing down the work, so comparing to the first estimations, the time needed to repair the tracks will be much longer than expected.
The reopening is now scheduled for the second week of August.
